Terms, Conditions and Policies for CLJ Window Cleaning Services LTD – 2026

By booking or receiving services from CLJ Window Cleaning Services LTD, you agree to the following terms. These policies ensure clarity, safety, and a smooth working relationship between our company and our valued customers.

 

1. Payment Terms

1.1 Payment Deadlines

Payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Any payment not received within 5 days will incur a £10 late payment fee.

1.2 Late Payments

If payment remains outstanding after 5 days, the account is considered overdue.
We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend future services

  • Apply statutory late payment interest and charges after 30 days

2. Deposits

2.1 Deposit Requirement

Any job totalling over £120 requires a 25% non‑refundable booking fee.
This deposit:

  • Must be paid before the appointment is confirmed

  • Is deducted from the final invoice

  • Is forfeited if the customer cancels without proper notice (see Section 3)

3. Cancellations & Rebooking

3.1 Cancellation Notice

We require at least 10 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
This allows us time to fill your slot.

3.2 Repeat Cancellations

If you cancel three consecutive appointments, you may be removed from our regular round and will need to rebook at the first clean price.

3.3 Same-Day or No-Notice Cancellations

If we arrive and the clean cannot be carried out due to customer fault (locked gates, access issues, etc.), a 75% charge of the normal price applies.

4. Pricing Structure

  • First Clean / One-Off Price applies to all new customers or properties not cleaned within the agreed schedule.

  • 4-Weekly Price

  • 8-Weekly Price

  • 12-Weekly Price

  • Over 12 Weeks since your last clean is automatically classed as a first clean at the first clean rate.

Prices may vary based on access, height, condition, or specific customer requirements.

 

5. Access & Property Conditions

5.1 Locked Gates

If we cannot access all areas due to locked gates, a 75% charge will apply.

5.2 Open or Un‑closable Windows

If windows have been left open or cannot be closed and no one is home:

  • We will clean the glass only

  • Frames and sills may be skipped if unsafe or inaccessible

 

6. Cleanliness & Animal Waste

For the safety of our staff and equipment:

6.1 Excessive Dog or Cat Mess

If the garden or access areas contain significant dog or cat mess:

  • We will only complete the front windows,
    OR

  • If the property is unsafe/unhygienic to work around, the clean may be refused.

A full charge may still apply due to time lost.

 

7. Health & Safety

To protect both customers and staff:

7.1 Electrical Hazards

We will not work near:

  • Overhead power lines

  • Exposed wiring

  • Other electrical risks

7.2 Dangerous Conditions

We reserve the right to stop work if we encounter:

  • Aggressive animals

  • Unstable structures

  • Unsafe ladders, roofs, or ground conditions

  • Excessive waste, hazards, or obstruction

 

8. Gutter Clearing – Call-Out Charges

A £45 call-out fee applies to gutter clearing appointments.
This fee:

  • Covers up to £45 worth of work

  • Additional charges will be discussed before continuing

If no work is needed (e.g., gutters clear), the call-out fee still applies for time and inspection.

 

9. Liability & Customer Responsibility

9.1 Pre-Existing Damage

CLJ Window Cleaning Services LTD is not responsible for damages caused by:

  • Loose tiles, guttering, or fascias

  • Failing window seals or frames

  • Previously weakened or deteriorated structures

  • Water ingress due to poor property maintenance

9.2 Water-Fed Pole System

Our purified-water system is safe; however, spotting can occur if:

  • Frames leak dirt

  • Windows haven’t been maintained

  • There are ventilation gaps or old seals

 

10. Weather Policy

We work in most weather conditions. Cleans will only be postponed for:

  • Extreme storms

  • Lightning

  • High winds (for safety on heighted work)

Rain does NOT affect the quality of purified-water window cleaning.

 

11. Customer Communication

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure we have:

  • An up-to-date phone number

  • An accurate address

  • Any access instructions

Failure to provide updated contact details may result in missed appointments or delays.

 

12. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.
Customers will be notified in advance of any significant changes.

 

13. Agreement

By using CLJ Window Cleaning Services LTD, you confirm that you:

  • Have read and understood these terms

  • Agree to all policies outlined

  • Accept responsibility for providing safe and reasonable access to your property
